수평선과의 대화
사업가인 건축주와 그의 가족은 현대도시인의 유목민적 생활을 청산하고 인생의 마지막 정착지로, 휴양적 거주가 가능한 인천대교 옆 해변가를 선택했다.
바다라는 자연에 접하면서 하늘과 바다, 그리고 수평선을 바라보며 예측할 수 없는 미래를 꿈꾸는 희망적 삶을 영유하기 위해서이다.
비틀린 전망축과 역동성
대지축은 넓은 공원을 사이에 두고 먼바다를 보는 소극적인 풍경을 향해있어 바다는 넓은 공원의 일부 작은 풍경에 불과했다.
최대한 가까운 바다를 보기 위해, 인접대지를 피해서 이 집의 모든 방들의 방향을 서로 다른 각도로 틀어 다수의 전망축이 생성됨으로써, 모든 가족들은 이 집의 모든 위치에서 바다를 바라보며 각자의 미래를 꿈꾸는 일상적 공간 속에 거주하게 되며, 이는 동시에 바다를 향한 조형적 역동성을 유발하고 있다.
휴양적 거주
각 층의 여러 레벨에 위치한 개인침실마다 바다를 즐기는 옥외테라스가 부속되어있고 이들은 공중산책로로 상호연결되어 있으며 이 공중산책로는 안마당을 둘러싸인 내향적 공간으로 구성하는 공간 요소로서, 바다를 보는 전망대이다.
바다와 육지의 시각적 연계
건축화된 연못과 실개천, 그리고 폭포를 통한 물의 도입은 바다와 건축물 사이를 바다화하여 시각적으로 연결하는 조경적 요소로 계획했다.
극장식 거실과 가족간의 친교
현대사회에서, 일상 속 가족간의 만남의 빈도는 많지 않다.
바다를 바라보는 극장식 거실공간 속에 가족구성원들의 서재, 가족실, 바 등의 공적기능을 분산배치하고 각 개인의 침실을 가기 위한 동선을 이 극장식 거실 공간을 필연적으로 경유하게 하여, 이 수직적 거실 공간을 바다를 보는 전망대이며 가족들의 만남이 이루어지는 친교적 장소로 계획했다.
한국성과 장소성
한국전통건축의 지붕곡선인 마이너스 곡선을 바람의 힘을 품고있는 역동적 돛과 동일시하여 전통건축의 조형성과 바닷가의 장소성을 동시에 표현하고자 했다.
꿈을 향한 항해
이 작은 삶의 휴양성 돛배 속에서 거주자 가족들 모두, 예측할 수 없는 미래의 꿈을 향한 희망적 인생의 항해는 지속될 것이다.
Dialogue with horizon
The owner of this house and his family selected this recreational seaside residential site beside Incheon Bridge as their last nest of life after finish their nomadic life of urbanite of modern society, they wanted to dream about their unpredictable future of wishful life looking over the horizon of the sea.
Twisted observation axis and dynamicity
Axis of site as observation axis makes too far sea scenery.
In order to see near seascape and to avoid the neighboring building, we turned the angle of each rooms of this house toward near sea, so in every places of this house picturesque scenery of sea is visible and it made the shape of this house dynamic.
Recreational life
In outdoor terraces of each rooms, one can enjoy the panoramic scenery of Incheon Sea and every terraces are connected with flying promnades which are observatory toward sea and spatial element for composition of introvert courtyard surrounded by them.
Visual connection between land and sea
Introducing the water, as architectural stream, pond, waterfall was able to connect the sea and land by visual landscape.
Theatrical living space and friendship between family members
In modern society of korea, there are family meeting of low frequency in everyday life.
So, we introduced theatrical public living space visible panoramic seascape, and designed the flow of individual rooms via this vertical living space at where every family members can help meeting each other.
Koreanness and placeness
To introduce concave curve of traditional Korean architecture was identified with the dynamic sail of ship on sea, consequently we presented formativeness of koreanness and placeness of sea.
Sailing toward wishful dream of life
On this recreational sailing ship of life, all the members of this family will sailing toward unpredictable future of wishful life looking over the horizon of sea continuously.
